Shelby, Washington Cancel Boil Order

Boil Water Alert Remains For Rochester, Parts Of Romeo

POSTED: Tuesday, June 30, 2009
UPDATED: 12:38 pm EDT July 3, 2009

A boil water advisory for Shelby and Washington townships was lifted Friday.

However, the advisory remains in effect for Rochester and parts of Romeo.

The water restrictions were implemented in several Macomb and Oakland Communities after a water main break at Dequindre Road, just south of Auburn Road, at the border of Rochester Hills and Shelby Township.

Shelby and Washington officials said Friday that water samples taken from the 96-inch water main came back clean.

For more information visit the Detroit Water & Sewerage Dept. or www.shelbytwp.org or call the township at 586-731-5100.
