ROSEVILLE, Mich. -- Police said a local gas station employee would hire petty thieves to steal from other stores and then he would resell the stolen items inside his Roseville gas station.
Mazen Haboosh was charged with retail fraud and conspiracy to sell stolen goods.
Haboosh continues to work at his brother-in-law's Sunoco Gas Station on Little Mack Avenue and Interstate 94 after he was released on a $7,500 bond.
When Local 4 asked Haboosh if he has sold stolen items, he said, "I am not sure right now."
Police said Haboosh paid people, such as Amanda Klug, to steal from stores.
Klug was caught and charged. Police said she would steal everything from medication from CVS to men's shoes from DSW.

"They will pay these people for bringing in the items – all stolen -- and then they will resell it," said Roseville Deputy Police Chief Anthony Cona. "They usually put the word out on the street so they know they can get a deal from this spot."
All of the stolen merchandise, from Detroit sports team baseball caps and clothes to medication that was sold at the station, have been confiscated.
Another gas station employee inside the station boasted to Local 4 producers that the merchandise inside the store was constantly changing.
"The vulnerability and the greed are two factors that come together and make it a prime setting for someone who wants to profit off of that by reselling these items," said Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel.
Hackel said consumers, who are the victims in this case, can also be in trouble for buying the stolen merchandise.
"Not only will we take that item from them, we know they bought a stolen good, but they too can be charged because they should have known that deal was too good to be true and they can get in trouble for actually buying that stolen item," said Hackel.
