CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Police in Canton Township have arrested two suspects in a string of home invasions in that community.
The suspects were arrested inside a home attempting to remove property, police said.
A police surveillance team helped break the case.
Joel Allen Boyd, 24, of Ypsilanti, was charged with second degree home invasion.
Keith Eugene List, 25, of Ypsilanti, was also charged with that felony.
Both suspects were also charged as habitual offenders.
A police surveillance team followed the pair to a home near Ford and Napier roads in Canton Township. Officers lost track of the men after seeing them approach the front door and knock several times. When officers approached the house, they saw the two suspects inside attempting to remove property. The two were arrested without incident.
Boyd and List did not post bond. Both remain in the Wayne County Jail.
They face a preliminary examination July 10 at 35th District Court in Plymouth.
