The warning comes after a rash of robberies in the past few weeks.
Police said they were called to two separate boat theft reports on Monday and Tuesday on Forest Bay Drive.
Sometime between July 1 and July 3, a Kenwood radio, a subwoofer and a power amplifier were stolen from a Southbay pontoon boat and some time between June 25 and July 5, a radio, an iPod, an FM transmitter and a Black and Decker power station were stolen from a Crownline boat.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Waterford Police Department at 248-674-0351.
