DETROIT – Scattered showers will develop after midnight with lows in the low 50s and a light south-southeast wind.
Scattered light rain showers will cross the area during the morning, with a break potentially developing during the afternoon. Some of my computer models develop some thunderstorms by late afternoon or evening -- but this is uncertain.

After a possible early morning shower or thunderstorm on Wednesday, skies gradually clear. Highs in the mid to upper 70s. Partly cloudy Wednesday night, with lows in the low 50s.
Thursday forecast:
Partly cloudy on Thursday, with highs in the mid 60s. Becoming mostly clear Thursday night, with lows in the upper 40s.
Friday forecast:
Mostly sunny on Friday, with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Mostly clear Friday night, with lows near 50.
Right now, my long range computer models suggest a spectacular Memorial Day weekend! I've always said that, on a three-day holiday weekend, it's best two-out-of three: If you can get two nice days out of the three, you're doing well. Right now, it's possible that we'll get all three -- although Monday is going to be a close call.
Both Saturday and Sunday look to be sunny and mild, with highs in the low to mid 70s, and overnight lows in the mid 50s.
Memorial Day is a tough call. Although some models try to bring in a shower or thunderstorm chance, I think that an upper level ridge of high pressure may hold on just long enough to keep us mostly dry, with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s! Remember to fly your flag as we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
If you don't have a flag, think about going out and buying one. -- they're not that expensive. Let's drape the area with a red, white and blue tribute to our fallen soldiers.
