2 arrested in Taylor homeowner's critical shooting

42-year-old homeowner shot during invasion, remains in critical condition

TAYLOR, Mich. – Taylor police have arrested two men in connection to the shooting of a 42-year-old homeowner on Monday night during a break-in at his home.

John Joseph Henry is in critical condition after he was shot by an intruder at his home in the 7500 block of Wilkie Street.

A 24-year-old man and 26-year-old man now are in custody.

Henry's wife called police just after 9 p.m., and Henry was rushed to a hospital. Police said he has undergone surgery and remains in critical condition.

A warrant is expected to be presented to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office on Friday.
