WESTLAND, Mich. – Two teenagers were arrested Thursday for stealing from a truck in Westland, police said

Melvin Adkins, 19, and Jacob Johnson, 17, both of Westland, are charged with stealing from a truck Jan. 2 in the 200 block of Bedford Drive.

Surveillance video shows two men opening the door of the parked truck and one of the men going inside the driver's side to rummage through the interior. Fewer than two minutes later, the men close the door and leave the truck. You can see the surveillance video below.

Adkins was arrested Jan. 11 on an unrelated charge and was later found to be involved in the case, according to police.

Johnson was arrested Wednesday.

Police conducted a search warrant at a home in the 300 block of Hickory Lane and found the property that was taken from the truck, officials said.

Adkins was arraigned on larceny from auto charges and charges unrelated to the case. He is being held on $10,000 bail.

Johnson was arraigned on larceny from auto and receiving and concealing stolen property charges. He is being held on $3,000 bail.
