WOOD-TV reports that the two players allegedly robbed a female student at gunpoint after making their way into her apartment.

The report said the victim gave her phone number to a woman who she had met a week earlier, in hopes of making a new friend, since she was new to the area.

During the week, WOOD-TV reports that the victim was receiving texts from a person who she thought was the woman.

The victim invited the woman to her new apartment, but said the woman did not show. Instead, the victim said two men with bandanas and a gun forced their way in the door.

While inside the apartment, the victim said one of the men asked her to take off her shirt, but the other man told him to leave her alone.

The men then ransacked the apartment and exited out a sliding glass door in the back.

A neighbor who witnessed the thieves fleeing the scene was able to write down a license plate number.

When police arrived, the victim dialed the number that she was texting earlier, only to hear a voicemail recording of a man named 'Bryson White.'

Deputies said they later found White, along with another man, later identified as 18-year-old Ron George, in a car with weapons and money. The two men were arrested by police and both are said to be players on Western Michigan's football team.

Fleck, who coaches the team the two men play for, released a statement regarding the arrests:

“Having heard this news early this morning, I took action to immediately suspend both freshman players indefinitely. We expect to learn more about these allegations today. I’m extremely disappointed and want to assure the community that this kind of conduct is unacceptable and does not represent the values of this team or this university.”
