DETROIT – A family that was in a rush Monday evening ended up in an awful car crash that ended with a toddler being ejected from the car.
Police said the family was driving the 2-year-old girl to the hospital because she was sick. They were near Connor and Kenmoor in Detroit when the car collided with another car at 4:18 p.m. Police said one of the cars in the collision crossed the centerline, causing the crash.
The 2-year-old girl and her 25-year-old father are listed in critical condition after the crash. Another woman involved in the crash has two broken legs.
Police said the child was in a car seat, but the force of the crash ejected her from the car.
You can see cellphone video of EMTs trying to help the child as they were loading her into the EMS rig in Tim Pamplin's video posted above.
