COMMUTER ALERT: Orchard Lake Rd. Lanes Closed In West Bloomfield

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. -- The southbound lanes of Orchard Lake Road between Lone Pine and Pontiac Trail were closed late Tuesday afternoon because of a gas main break.Michigan Department of Transportation spokesman Rob Morosi said traffic is being shifted to the northbound lanes between that stretch, leaving only one lane for traffic to go both directions.Commuters are being asked to avoid that area.Morosi said the cause of the break is not yet known and that he doesn't know how long the roadway will be closed.
