Michigan Senator To Host Free Health Fair

DETROIT -- Senator Hansen Clarke, along with local health professionals and Wayne County Community College's Education Program, will host a free health fair for community members.There are many problems that affect the health of our communities, from access to health care to unemployment and foreclosure," said Sen. Clarke in a press release.Clarke said the meeting will address issues for Detroit citizens and answer any questions they may have about improving their own health as well as the financial and economic health of the area they live in.The free event will take place on Saturday, October 10, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and will be held at the Wayne County Community College Eastern Campus, at 5901 Conner in Detroit.The space was donated by Wayne County Community College.Free lunch, childcare and parking will be provided.People who would like more information can call 1-877-252-7537.
