TROY, Mich. -- SONIC Drive-In has opened a new location at the corner of John R and 14 Mile roads in Troy.

The Troy location is equipped with 20 drive-in stalls, two patio ordering stations and a drive-through.

"We are thrilled to open the first SONIC in Troy," said Ben Cheshire, franchisee of the Troy SONIC Drive-In. "We look forward to serving the community and delivering the fun carhop service SONIC Drive-Ins are known for across the country."

SONIC is a drive-in style restaurant where customers order there food from their car and a SONIC employee known as a carhop brings out the food to the customer where they eat in their car.

The Troy SONIC location's normal hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. every day.
