DETROIT -- Detroit police are investigating a bomb threat that was made against one of Detroit’s oldest churches Sunday.
Members of the St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church anxiously waited in the parking lot while police and bomb-sniffing dogs searched the building.
Police said someone called and said three bombs had been planted in the church.
The morning service was cut short, but pastor Andre Spivy said the church will remain strong.
"We've had so many negative things against our city. But we're not going to count this as that," he said. "We're going to be doing as we've been doing for 92 years. We're going to keep on going."
Police did not find any bombs.
