DETROIT -- The city of Detroit will be looked at in a positive way in the comedy film "Stick It in Detroit," opening Friday.
The film, made entirely in Detroit, will open at the MJR Theaters in Waterford, Sterling Heights and Southgate.
"I am very proud of my city. It is a beautiful city full of amazing people. I'm sick of how it's portrayed in movies, so I wanted to make a film that the people of Detroit can identify with, relate to and be proud of. Most importantly, I wanted to make a movie in which Detroiters can forget about their problems and just laugh for 90 minutes straight," said director Robert Phelps.
