Cops: Man Steals From Prescription Plan

RIVER ROUGE, Mich -- A Detroit man has been charged in the theft of nearly $1 million in money intended for employee prescription drug coverage in the city of River Rouge.Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox says in a release that 45-year-old Adam Korejsza (kor-SHEK'-uh) was arraigned Friday in River Rouge on racketeering, embezzlement and tax evasion charges. Bond was set at $1 million.His arrest follows a joint investigation by Cox's office and the state police.Between January 2007 and September 2008 more than $50,000 per month was paid from insurance premiums. Cox says Korejsza was under contract to manage the program.A preliminary examination has been set for Nov. 13.The Associated Press could not determine Friday afternoon if Korejsza had an attorney.
