Will Be Featured In A Yet To Be Named Film Released Next Year

POSTED: Friday, November 13, 2009
UPDATED: 10:43 am EST November 14, 2009

Lincoln Elementary School will be featured as a movie set in late November for multiple scenes in an unnamed 2010 film to be shot in Southeast Michigan.

The film, produced by Peace Film LLC of Ann Arbor stars Nia Long and Danny Glover.

It will center around an African-American family that was one of the first generations of Muslims born and raised in America.

It details the trials and tribulations the family faced while practicing the Islamic faith.

The film will hire 25 students and six teachers from Monroe Public Schools as extras as well as assist the designer in creating a set that resembles a working classroom.
