Grosse Pointe Welcomes Santa Claus

Multiple Events Planned for Santa Claus Parade

The 34th Grosse Pointe Santa Claus Parade begins at 10 a.m. Friday.

The parade will start at the corner of Lewiston and Kercheval and move west on Kercheval passing through the The Hill and The Village shopping districts.

Featured at the parades will be many different high school marching bands, including Harper Woods High School, Anchor Bay High School, Warren Woods Tower, The Detroit School of Arts, Ecorse Community High School, Highland Park High School, Grosse Pointe North and Grosse Pointe South.

Along with the marching bands will be the Eastside Fury drum line, Clowns from the Detroit Fire Department, the Redford Unicycle club and an appearance by Santa Claus on the Grosse Pointe Santa Claus Float.

Besides the parade there will be a Happy Holidays Jingle Bell Walk/Run at 9 a.m., a concert by The Pointe Singers Select Choir at 4:30 p.m. and The Village Aglow Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5 p.m.
