TAYLOR, Mich. – Blue police gloves still lay in the grass in front of the Taylor Park Townhomes where a 22-year-old woman was found stabbed to death Friday night.
A 31-year-old Brighton man is in custody for the suspected homicide of his former girlfriend Summer Lynn Faulkner.
Taylor Police received a 911call Friday night from the victim's sister after the man allegedly entered the apartment and then stabbed Faulkner.
Police arrived to the 23000-block of Rosewood Avenue near Telegraph and Goddard Road around 11:30 p.m. Friday to find the victim dead.
She was stabbed multiple times.
Michelle Hickman lives in the same complex as the victim.
"At about 10:30 last night I was putting the fan in my window, to let the fresh air in, I heard girls screaming. At first I thought they were just playing and then you could hear the urgency in their voices and a man ran right past my window," she said.
Taylor police confirm the suspect was either the victim's boyfriend or ex-boyfriend and say he turned himself into Fenton Police Saturday morning.
"They've only lived there for like two weeks," said Hickman of the victim.
A warrant request is expected to be submitted to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office tomorrow.
