INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A 27-year-old Clarkston woman remains in stable condition after being rescued by two Good Samaritans who pushed a car off her following a rollover accident.
"I lost control over the road and ended up veering off," said Annah Ferguson.
According to Ferguson, she was driving to church on an unpaved part of Pine Knob Road when she hit a pot hole, which caused her to crash just after 9 a.m. on Sunday.
Ferguson said her 2008 Nissan Versa flipped, she was thrown from the car and then it came down on top of her.
Steve Robertson saw the crash from his home and ran over to help.
"I didn't know if she was dead or alive. At that point, she wasn't really moving, she wasn't saying anything," said Robertson. "She was face down and all I wanted to do was get the car off of her, but I couldn't do it by myself."
Robertson said he then managed to flag-down a car, which was driven by Larry Giroux.
"She was bloody. It was ugly," said Giroux. "We had to roll it (the car) up, and with the adrenaline rushing, we just gave it a push and he pulled her out from underneath."
Ferguson, an aspiring opera and gospel singer, said the rescue was a miracle.
"It was definitely an act of God," said Ferguson. "I was wondering if they were angels."
She is being treated at Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc Township.
Ferguson said she is a music student at the University of Michigan-Flint.
