Stinger Facing Suit For Ex's Ferrari
Stinger Named On Suit Because She Owned Crashed Ferrari
Watch: Ex-Anchor Stinger Named In Injury LawsuitLocal 4 has learned that Jackson did stop at the time of the crash. The plaintiff, David Sugg, named Stinger as a defendant because she owned the sports vehicle and she should be liable for it, according to Sugg's attorney Eric Berkley of Royal Oak.Berkely said his client was injured in the crash and has undergone surgeries, therapy and has lost time at work."As a direct and proximate result of the said incident, plaintiff was caused to suffer shock as well as physical and mental pain and suffering, all of which resulted in injury and damage to his head, neck, back and body, arms, legs and/or an exacerbation of a pre-existing condition," the lawsuit stated. The plaintiff no longer lives in Michigan, according to Berkley.Fanchon told Local 4 that she has not received service of the case. She added that she didn’t know anything about it and she doesn't own a Ferrari.Stinger lost her job as an anchor after an investigation into Jackson's involvement in a city hall scandal surfaced. In June, Jackson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bribery for supplying former councilwoman Monica Conyers with at least $6,000 to secure her tie-breaking vote in a $1.2 billion controversial sludge disposal contract. Jackson is currently serving five years in prison in upstate New York.Last year, Stinger told Local 4's Carmen Harlan that she did not have any involvement with Synagro, and that she never did any work for the Houston-based sludge company.Stinger discussed how the car came to be in her name."The Rolls Royce and the Ferrari he bought and he said I'm having issues with my credit, I'm going to put these cars under your name, I'm going to buy them. It's just going to be for a month, but it wasn't asking. It's this is what you're going to do," Stinger said.
