Mayor's Son Charged With Delivering Drugs

Son Forced To Wear Electronic Tether

The son of Sterling Heights Mayor Richard Notte was arraigned in court Monday on drug-selling charges.

John Notte, 19, was charged with delivering marijuana and conspiracy to deliver marijuana.

Police said they caught Notte (pictured, left) Thursday night attempting to deliver the drug to a home in Sterling Heights. Police seized 6 pounds of marijuana at the scene, Local 4 reported.

Notte's father vowed not to pull strings after his son was arrested.

Notte was freed on bond, but will be required to wear an electronic tether.
