Man Disguised With Wig Robs Bank
Police: Fifth Third Bank On Gratiot Avenue Robbed Of $3,000

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A Fifth Third Bank branch on Gratiot Avenue in Clinton Township was robbed Tuesday by a man wearing a wig and dark sunglasses.
Clinton Township police said the man entered the bank around 9:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note that threatened to open fire.
Police said the teller gave the man $3,000.
A K-9 unit from the Macomb County Sheriff's Office searched the area within minutes after the robbery but weren't able to locate the man.
Police have released a photo of the man from footage that a surveillance camera captured. Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call the Clinton Township Police Department at 586-493-7840.
The man is black, appears to be in his late 20s, 6 feet tall and around 250 pounds. He was wearing a flannel shirt over a sweatshirt that reads "Michigan" across it. He also had on a backwards green baseball hat. The wig was dreadlocks.
