24-foot Menorah installed in Campus Martius

The one-of-a-kind creation will be lit December 12th

DETROIT – A 24-foot Menorah is being installed in Campus Martius Friday afternoon.

The Menorah, made of steel and glass, is being installed by the Shul of West Bloomfield in celebration of Chanukah. The one of a kind creation was made by local artists, the Nordine Brothers.

The Menorah will be lit on Wednesday, December 12th at 5:30pm as part of the "Menorah Lighting in the D" ceremony. There will be an additional light illuminated for each day of Chanukah.

Rabbi Kasriel Shemtov says, "the Menorah being placed in Downtown Detroit is a reminder to all of us that we should continually work to warm and illuminate the world around us."
