Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the slaying of a Detroit father.
Police said 46-year-old Troy Tidwell was fatally shot Nov. 10, 2013, as he walked home in the 600 block of Virginia Park near W. Jefferson.
Whoever shot Tidwell was in a blue Ford Focus, but no other descriptions have been released.
He left behind three children.
Tidwell had previously worked in community relations at St. Johns Hospital and the Wellness Plan. Currently he was eventually unable to work due to kidney disease. Mr. Tidwell was the President of the PAL Westside Cougars football team. He graduated from Davenport University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and was currently working on his Masters. Mr. Tidwell was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Community Church and served on the Christian Service Committee.
