Nick Srabian, 21, was last seen leaving his parents home to visit friends in Ypsilanti about a month ago.

He told his family he'd be home in a couple of days. He left with a backpack and little or no money, Local 4 reported.

George Srabian, Nick's father, has posted flyers outside the country club where Nick worked, and outside the high school from which he graduated.

"Four weeks with no contact is unbearable," said Srabian.

Nick (pictured, left) had been a student at Eastern Michigan University but was reportedly taking some time off from school. He apparently was excited about a new job he was about to start.

"I just don't understand if he took off, why he would take off, if something else happened … I can't even imagine," said Srabian. "Every day I wake up and think I'm going to hear the worst news of my life that my son's body has been found somewhere."

Shortly before he disappeared, Nick was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. His family says it's possible he felt too ashamed to face them, but they say it's not likely he'd be gone for this long, or that he would have missed his court date, Local 4 reported.

Anyone with information on Nick's whereabouts has been asked to contact the Trenton Police Department at (734) 676-3737.
