Accident Causes Backups On Eastbound Lanes Of Freeway

Crews worked to clear the scene of an accident on Interstate 96 in which a tractor-trailer struck a sign over the freeway Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the tractor-trailer hit the sign at I-96 and Stark Road in Livonia.
Traffic in the eastbound lanes was reportedly backed up beyond Interstate-275 due to the accident.
Crews reportedly worked for hours to clean debris from the road and reopen all lanes of the freeway.
No injuries were reported in the accident.
