All across metro Detroit, postal workers are hustling to deliver Christmas cards and gifts on time, but for some mail carriers in Livonia the loads have been a little light.
That's because one postal employee has been stealing DVD movies that were mailed to Livonia area code 48154.
Postal inspectors set up secret cameras and watched as William Wrack allegedly pulled out DVD after DVD and hid them in paper towels, then took them to his locker.
When authorities discovered the thefts, they confronted Wrack at his car. There they found 16 stolen movies. When they went to Wrack's house, they discovered 426 more DVDs.
The post office apologizes and said they will stay vigilant and go after anyone who tampers with the mail to make sure packages get to their intended recipients.

This is not the first time Wrack has been disciplined for stealing mail, Local 4 reported.
He was suspended previously for more than 20 days for a similiar crime.
