27-year-old man suffers collapsed lung after being stabbed in the back

Girlfriend being held in jail after incident Sunday night in Pontiac

PONTIAC, Mich. – The Oakland County Sheriff's Department says a large amount of blood in an apartment and the parking lot led deputies to a stabbing victim inside a car.

The incident happened Sunday night when deputies responded to a domestic dispute in the 100 block of Carriage Circle in Pontiac.

A 27-year-old man was found with a wound to the right back shoulder area.

Preliminary investigation reveals that a 19-year-old woman was involved in an altercation with the victim, who is her child's father. This resulted in the woman stabbing the man in the back with a knife.

The Auburn Hills man was taken to McLaren Hospital with a collapsed lung.

The Pontiac woman is being held in the Oakland County Jail.
