Boy Runs To Neighbor's House

POSTED: Monday, February 16,
UPDATED: 9:50 am EST February 16, 2004

Canton police are investigating the possible attempted abduction of a 6-year-old boy over the weekend.

The boy was walking on the sidewalk in front of his home in the 200 block of Princess Street between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. when he was approached by a white man in a green Jeep, according to the boy's mother. The man told the boy that his mother was at McDonald's and that he should get in the car so he could take him there, according to police.

The boy refused and ran to a neighbor's house, police said.

The man was described as having blue eyes, brown curly hair, a mustache and was wearing blue coveralls, according to police.

Anyone with information should contact Canton police.
