A 34-year-old man was shot and killed while apparently waiting for a bus on Detroit's east side Monday afternoon, Local 4 reported.

Police say a car drove by and fired shots at the man in the area of St. Antoine Street near the Brewster housing projects.

The shooting reportedly followed a brief foot chase that happened between two buildings.

There was no word on what prompted the chase, or who was involved.

Police were rounding up witnesses to help in their search for the shooter(s).
