An accident involving a tractor-trailer spilled fertilizer and caused delays on a stretch of Interstate 75 Wednesday morning.

The tractor-trailer was involved in a collision with a car around 6:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes of the freeway at Huron River Drive, near the Wayne County and Monroe County border, according to Michigan State Police. The tractor-trailer was loaded with fertilizer, and if it mixed with fuel it would become a potential flammable threat, police said.
Police have closed two lanes as a precaution while the spill is cleaned.
There were no injuries reported.
