2nd Boston Marathon victim identified as 29-year-old Krystle Campbell

Dad: 'My daughter was the most lovable girl'

Published reports are saying the second victim of the Boston Marathon bombings has been identified as 29-year-old Krystle Campbell of Medford, Mass.

Her father, William A. Campbell Jr., told Yahoo News he's in shock that his daughter was killed.

"My daughter was the most lovable girl. She helped everybody, and I'm just so shocked right now. We're just devastated," he said. "She was a wonderful, wonderful girl. Always willing to lend a hand."

Campbell was at the finish line with a friend to cheer on her boyfriend, who was running the race.

8-year-old Martin Richard of Dorchester, Mass. was also killed. His mother and 6-year-old sister were also hurt in the explosion.

  • American Red Cross's Safe and Well website: This allows people to register their status with the Red Cross so family members can search for them. Visit the website HERE
  • Strangers Offering Housing to Marathon Victims: Marathon participants or spectators who are stranded in the Boston area and need a place to stay can fill out THIS FORM to connect with people who are offering housing.
