Lockdowns lifted at Beverly Hills schools; police arrest 3 in home invasion

BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. – Lockdowns have been lifted at four schools in Beverly Hills, Mich. after police arrested three people suspected in a home invasion Friday afternoon.

Greenfield Elementary, Pierce Elementary and Beverly Hills Elementary all were temporarily on lockdown while police searched the area for the suspects.

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic school on Pierce Street also was on lockdown.

There was a strong police presence in the neighborhood near 14 Mile Road and Pierce Street. A Chrysler minivan was being towed by police at Bukingham Avenue and Bates Street.

Police said three arrests were made.
