3 charged for beating 57-year-old Detroit man to death

2 also charged with breaking into man's home

DETROIT – Three Detroiters have been charged in connection with the beating that killed 57-year-old Louis Herman Morris, of Detroit. The alleged beating occurred at Morris' home in the 9900 block of Harwell in Detroit at 9 a.m. June 24.

Mary Pye, 20, Parada Carson, 23, and Diago Jones, 23, have been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and manslaughter. Carson and Jones are also charged with home invasion.

Another suspect was not charged because it was determined there was insufficient evidence that he committed a crime.

All three defendants are expected to be arraigned on Sunday in 34th District Court in Romulus.
