DETROIT - Three men charged in the fatal shootings of two Hamtramck women have been arraigned in that city's district court.
Brandon Cain, Miguel Rodriguez and Brian Lee are charged with first-degree murder, torture and unlawful imprisonment. They were arraigned Monday afternoon.
They stand accused of being involved in the killings of Abreeya Brown and Ashley Conaway.
Lee's lawyer Arnold Reed says the charges are baseless, and prosecutors have no evidence against his client.
Reginald Brown and Jeremy Brown also are charged in the deaths.
Reginald Brown and Jeremy Brown were arraigned Saturday.
All five men are scheduled to have their preliminary examination on April 19 in Hamtramck.
Witnesses say friends and roommates Brown and Conaway were forced into a car trunk at gunpoint on Feb. 28.
Their bodies were discovered March 25 in shallow graves in Detroit.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy says the victims were tortured before being shot to death.
