3 men charged in Harper Woods motel robbery

Worker at Parkcrest Inn struck in head; Suspects stole cash

HARPER WOODS, Mich. – Three Detroit men have been charged in a robbery at a Harper Woods motel that was caught on surveillance video.

Police said the suspects stormed into the Parkcrest Inn during the early-morning hours of March 10 and forced a female employee at gunpoint behind a counter.

They stole cash and scuffled with the employee, which resulted in her suffering a minor injury to her head.

The suspects were arrested after police released surveillance video and pictures of the robbery.

Reonnis Perkins, 19, is charged with armed robbery, felony firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

Demetrius Nix, 23, is charged with armed robbery and felony firearm.

Detred Oden, 20, is charged with armed robbery.

All of the suspects were arraigned last weekend. If convicted, they face a sentence of up to life in prison.
