A construction crew found what appeared to be human bones at a site near a local highway Tuesday afternoon.
The crew was pounding through about 5 inches of concrete while digging a drain along the Davison Freeway when they found what appeared to be the spine and rib cage of a human, Local 4 reported."It kind of looked like human bones, didn't look like an animal, so we called the police," said Jim Siarkowski, a construction worker.
Detroit police say they're working on the assumption that it's a human, but they're unclear if it's a man or a woman, the station reported.Medical examiners are expected to run tests on the remains.Construction workers told Local 4 that it's been quite some time before concrete was poured in the area, so the body may have been buried there for over 20 years.
