A Pittsfield Township woman found what appeared to be a peephole on her bedroom wall, Local 4 reported.
The hole, which measured approximately 1/2 inch in diameter, was on a wall dividing the woman's bedroom and a bathroom in a neighboring apartment, where two men live.
Police said the woman first noticed the hole on Sunday.
"She contacted the caretaker, who came over and spackled it. She didn't feel comfortable and placed some aluminum foil over the area where the hole was found," said Lt. Stephen Heller, of the Pittsfield Township Police Department.
The woman called police after she later discovered a hole in the aluminum foil.
Police said a mirror in the bathroom of the neighboring apartment covered up a missing panel of drywall. By removing the panel on the bathroom side, police believe the two men in that apartment had a direct view of the woman's bed.
"The hole lined up perfectly with her bed, so when you looked through the hole, you could see her entire bed," Heller said.
Police continue to investigate in hopes that eavesdropping charges can be filed against the men.
Both were arrested on an unrelated charge of drunken driving and were charged on Friday.
