Police: Suspects Flee Home With Teen's Computer
Ronald Kinney, 18, of River Rouge, and Andres Montgomery, 25, of Ecorse, were charged last month with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, home invasion and assault with intent to do great bodily harm.Police said Kinney (pictured, far left) and Montgomery (pictured, near left) entered through an open door at a Brownstown Township home where a 13-year-old girl was sleeping.The two men allegedly raped the teen and set her hair afire before leaving the home with the girl's computer, police said.The teen was able to put the fire out in a bathroom, police said.Montgomery was charged last month as a habitual offender due to three previous convictions for possession of narcotics, according to the The News Herald. Montgomery was on parole for a 2002 charge.Police said the teen knew one of her attackers.Each suspect accused the other of stealing the computer, according to Brownstown Township police. Neither admitted that the girl had been raped or set on fire, the paper reported.Kinney told police they did light a Barbie doll's hair on fire, but not the girl's, according to the paper.If convicted on first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges, the two men could face life in prison.
