Attacker Sought In EMU Football Player Stabbing

Tyler Griffin Hospitalized In Ypsilanti

An Eastern Michigan University football player was stabbed in the abdomen Thursday night.

Tyler Griffin was attacked at about 7:45 p.m. in the area of Villa and LeForge, in Ypsilanti Township, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department. He is hospitalized at St. Joseph's Hospital in Ypsilanti in fair condition.

No suspects are in custody.

Griffin is the nephew of Ohio State football star Archie Griffin, the sheriff's department said.

The sheriff's department continues to investigate.
