Man Shot At Local 4 Studios
EMS, Police Respond To WDIV-TV Building
The man did not work at the station, but was reportedly picking up a tape for a local company. He was a former employee of WDIV-TV.An ambulance arrived at the TV station and was in the process of treating the shooting victim. The man was transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital.There was no word on who fired the shot, but it appeared to come from someone outside the building, according to Local 4 reports.The shooter was described as stocky, about 6 feet tall and Hispanic. The suspect may be the same person who has been harassing employees at the station, but no one is sure of his motives.More than a month ago, two employees at the station's loading docks were assaulted. Witnessess said this could be the same man.The gunman is still on the loose and has a weapon, police are warning. Detroit police officers and ATF officers. Police have closed down a section of Lafayette while they search for the gunman.The man may have fled the scene in a green Dodge pick up truck with a silver bottom."We're attempting to get an identification on this individual.
