Think Your Spouse Is Cheating? A New Web Site Can Help

Woman Says Internet A Haven For Already Married Spouses

POSTED: Tuesday, May 17, 2005

There's a new way that cheaters are hooking up and the Internet is helping to fuel the fire.

Rescue 4 Undercover showed video of a couple enjoying dinner for two and an intimate night in a hotel. It may have looked sweet, but there's a big problem. The couple is married, but not to each other.

Kristy said she learned the hard way her husband -- the man captured in the video -- was cheating. She first suspected something strange when she spotted a suspicious e-mail.

She discovered that her husband surfed the net in his spare time using the screen name Big Daddy. He met a woman also looking for love and their romantic nights were captured on camera by a private investigator.

"Somebody has to help these people. It's not a set-up," said Michael Torrice, a private investigator.

Private investigators are also keeping keeping their eyes online, working to catch cheating spouses. More and more people are looking for love on the side by heading to the Internet.

One Web site, Craigslist.com, features postings in every city from Detroit to Dublin. It's just one example of hundreds of Web sites where married people post discreet personal ads.

Some of the postings for Detroit alone are filled with married men and women searching for NSA, computer talk for No Strings Attached. Some are business travelers staying at area hotels, but the majority are locals seeking sex with strangers.

Taunya Messner logged on hoping to meet the man of her dreams, but instead of finding Prince Charming she found married men.

"It's been scary and I needed to find a way to do it safely," Messner said.

For a small fee, you can hire Messner to track your love interest or your spouse. Her Web site, Cheatingspousesonline.com, helps track down a cheating spouse who is searching for love online.

If you suspect your significant other is surfing the Internet seeking love, pass their screen name onto Messner and she'll put them to the test, initiating a conversation to see if they'll take the bait and go out on a date.

Messner's Web site states that she charges a one-time fee of $29.95 for her services.

Her Web site says she will attempt to make contact with the person by using a screen name provided by you.

Messner believes that her service provides a way for people to become more knowledgable about their relationships and possibly save their relationships "before it is too late."
