POSTED: 12:30 pm EST December 4, 2005

An early morning fire destroyed two businesses and closed a major roadway in Hamtramck Sunday, Local 4 reported.

The fire started at about 4 a.m. at a building located at Joseph Campau and Yemans Avenue, Local 4 reported. A stretch of Joseph Campau was blocked off while fire crews continued to sift through ashes at about 9 a.m., according to the station's reports.

One of the two businesses destroyed was a dry-cleaning company, the station learned. Four other businesses were damaged by the flames, the station reported.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
