Humane Society Has Concerns About Imposing Restrictions

Pet owners in Bloomfield Township are facing new restrictions.A new city ordinance limits homes to two cats and they must have rabies shots.Other communities are considering limits on dogs and cats as well as a complete ban on some exotic pets.The Michigan Humane Society said the laws may be well-intended, but could restrict responsible people from giving homes to abandoned pets.Auburn Hills is considering amending its city code to impose pet limits, too.
