DETROIT – Detroit police are investigating a crash which killed a 6-year-old girl and seriously injured her 25-year-old mother.
The crash happened about 1 a.m. Tuesday in the 15000 block of Edmore Drive on Detroit's east side.

The mother lost control of the car and hit a tree. Police are investigating what led to this crash, saying they cannot confirm the father was chasing the mother when she lost control.
The 6-year-old girl was killed by the impact. Her 1-year-old brother is in stable condition and her mother is listed in critical condition.
