JACKSON HOLE, Wyo. – A 60-year-old man from Michigan has been killed after a head-on collision in Grand Teton National Park.

The two cars, both with a driver and a passenger, were involved in the wreck, according to park spokeswoman Jackie Skaggs.  She says the other driver and both passengers were not injured in the crash.

The accident caused rangers to close the five-mile stretch of Highway 89/181 for the investigation.  Traffic was rerouted to Teton Park Road, causing traffic delays.

"It did cause traffic delays and back-ups, especially right at first," Anzelmo-Sarles said. "But I would characterize them as minor."

Rangers investigated the scene throughout the afternoon into the evening hours.   Skaggs says information about the cause of the accident should be available in the next several days.

Visitation is from 4:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 at Potere-Modetz Funeral Home at 339 Walnut Boulevard in Rochester.

Funeral services are at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22 at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 1400 Inglewood in Rochester followed by burial at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery at 621 West Long Lake Road in Troy.
