MONROE, Mich. – Monroe police say several children Monday morning were taken to the hospital as a precaution after a car rammed into the back of their school bus.
Police said the Monroe Public Schools bus was stopped at a railroad crossing near West Elm Avenue and Toll Street just before 9 a.m. when a driver crashed into them.

The children were taken to Mercy Hospital to be looked over. The driver of the car also suffered minor injuries.
Police haven't released details on the driver that hit the bus or which school the students were from.
