4,000 Sterling Heights residents without power after fire breaks out at DTE substation

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Thousands are without power after a fire broke out at a DTE substation in Sterling Heights, Sunday.

DTE reports an equipment failure within the substation started the fire at approximately 12:55 p.m.

Crews are currently working to restore power to 4,000 residents.
