Three Injured In Plant Explosion

Fire Crews At Scene

Three people were injured after an explosion at the American Axle & Manufacturing Inc. Plant in Hamtramck Monday morning.

The explosion occurred around 7:30 a.m. at a hydraulic pump station, Local 4 reported.

Three people were injured and taken to Henry Ford Hospital suffering burns, according to the station's reports.

The Hamtramck Fire Department and Detroit Fire Department responded to the explosion and were able to control the flames.

The cause of the explosion is not known.

Fire crews are at the scene.
