Does Michigan Owe You Money?

Begin Your Money Quest Here

There's millions of dollars in lost or forgotten money, that the state of Michigan is holding on to for you. Could some of it be yours?

According to the Michigan Department of Treasury, the money comes from dormant bank accounts, uncashed checks, valuables left in safe deposit boxes and stock certificates. Because the properties were considered abandoned and unclaimed by either the bank or the company entrusted with them, they were turned over to the state (which is a legal requirement.)

However, if you can rightfully claim the money, it can come back to you.

So by now, you're probably asking, "how do I find out if there's money owed to me?" We've got the answers for you right here!
